Your story can change the world.
In May of 2017, NAMI Washington held our first ever storytelling event: "The Brain Power Chronicles: Mental Health Stories"... an evening that focused on real people sharing their real stories of they or their loved ones living with mental illness. Their stories were powerful, and shone a spotlight on the intersection of mental health and the arts.

We know there are more stories out there.

On March 17th, NAMI Washington invites you to audition to share your experience, and help eradicate stigma, build community, and support the work of our organization across the state.
We are looking for participants for a multi-session storytelling workshop from April to November, culminating with a live performance of "The Brain Power Chronicles: Mental Health Stories" at a Seattle-area theatre on November 10, 2018.
Bill Bernat, an accomplished storyteller and friend of NAMI, has volunteered to lead this workshop series. You will hone your storytelling skills and develop and shape your story with a small group of fellow performers.
Auditions will be held on Saturday, March 17th, starting at 1:30PM at the offices of NAMI Washington in Seattle.
To audition, please fill out this questionnaire and email it to:
